This year’s Lecture Day was held at Mayfield Sand Ridge Country Club on October 8, 2012. Brian Godfrey, Professor of Geography and Director of Urban Studies at Vassar College, and Nicholas Lemann, Dean and Henry R. Luce Professor of Journalism at Columbia University School of Journalism, provided insight on the topic “Brazil: The Explosive Giant.”
Lecture Day was named to honor Grazella Shepherd who, as director of Cleveland College’s General Education Division, was the creative genius behind a unique educational lecture series that began in 1938. Lecture Day features outstanding faculty from ACE’s affiliate alumni groups and draws a full house each year. |
