Lecture Day was named to honor Grazella Shepherd who, as director of Cleveland College’s General Education Division, was the creative genius behind a unique educational lecture series that began in 1938. Lecture Day features outstanding faculty from ACE’s affiliate alumni groups and draws a full house each year. For complete information about Lecture Day, please visit the ACE site.
Featuring over 70,000 well-sorted books!
The ACE Annual Book Sale is held every June on the Case Western Reserve University Campus. This four-day event, one of the biggest book sales in Ohio, draws a large crowd and, along with featuring titles from the worlds of popular fiction, politics, history, science, and sports, often contains autographed first-editions. Vinyl records, art books, and over 20,000 used paperbacks are also for sale. All items are donated throughout the year from estate sales, private collections, professional libraries, and generous alumni, and are sorted and appraised by a bevy of ACE volunteers. Our profits support CWRU and Lifelong Learning programs on and off campus.
Book donations for the annual sale are always welcome!
Year-round drop off is at 10620 Cedar Avenue, between Fairhill and E. 105th, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Please go to the package delivery dock on Cedar and ring the bell. Someone will be there to assist you. Pick-ups can be arranged for those who have six (6) or more boxes of books. At this time we are not taking encyclopedias, magazines, journals, or textbooks in the social sciences that are more than three years old.
